Sled dogs and all the tranquillity of the Auvergne

For your trips and journeys across the Auvergne's wild winter landscape, why not try a trip by dogsled, an unusual and traditional Nordic transport method for getting around safely as a family.

In the Auvergne, you'll soon get the hang of dogsledding, an age-old means of locomotion in the Nordic countries, reproduced here in France much to the delight of our visitors. Get the most from your sled trip, a natural way to enjoy a lungful of fresh air and to appreciate the snow-covered landscape while at the same time protecting the environment.

Take in the Auvergne winter landscape

The mushers await you in Les Estables, a ski resort of the Haute-Loire. After a quick introduction to dogsled riding, you'll have the reins in your hands, ready to steer your dogs across the vast snowy landscapes. Inpatient to get going, the dog pack is comprised of huskies and other athletic Nordic dog breeds. Forests, wild trails and wide open spaces provide a marvellous playground where you and your dog team can enjoy an unforgettable holiday and a welcome change of scenery.
