Located on the banks of the River Allier, Moulins is the homeland of the Dukes of Bourbon. Notre-Dame Cathedral and its famous triptych by the Master of Moulins as well as the “Jacquemart” on the belfry with its campanile housing the bells and the automatons, is one of the main tourist sites in the city. The National Centre for Costumes and Stage Decorations will open in 2005.

The economic capital of the Bourbonnais region, Montluçon is also an attractive medieval town built around the château of Louis II of Bourbon, now housing the Museum of Folk Music. Fans of old instruments will find the largest collection in the world. A Town of Art, Montluçon also welcomes business tourism.

World-famous for its thermal spa and cosmetic products, the “Queen of the Water Towns” cultivates an art of living that enchants all visitors.
Napoléon III fell under its spell, building the Opera House – which is also home to the conference centre – luxurious mansions and villas along the River Allier.
Shows, concerts, horse races and water sports on the lake make this a lively spa town, not to mention the golf and tennis facilities in the idyllic Omnisport Park.
Vichy also means strolls through the shaded parks and streets of the town.
